This year, Chris and Jo are rearing Saddlebacks crossed with Large Whites. This cross is known for its excellent flavour and succulence. The pigs reared at The Walnut Tree live in a partially wooded area of the garden, and are free to do whatever they please; playing, digging, sleeping and, of course, eating. This lifestyle, over the Spring and Summer months, gives a high quality meat with a taste second to none.
Chris and Jo are very pleased to continue to work with their local Offham butcher, Will Orme. Will has lived in Offham for over 40 years, having followed his father into his butchery business, which he now owns and runs.
